Specialized services for BMW

CBS maintenance with the correct oil

BMW's CBS system individually monitors engine oil, brakes, tires, brake fluid and spark plugs, indicating exactly when each element needs attention. We respect these intervals and use oil with the correct approval: LL-01 for gasoline engines without a DPF particulate filter, and LL-04 for those that have one (such as the B48 and B58 in Euro 6 markets). We also use oils from the BMW TwinPower Turbo line to maintain factory specifications.

Adaptive EDC suspension

Many BMW models offer the EDC (Electronic Damper Control) adaptive suspension that adjusts damping based on driving mode and road conditions. When an EDC damper fails, the system automatically switches to an emergency mode with fixed response. Replacement requires electronic calibration so the system recognizes the new dampers. Learn more on our suspension repair page.

M Performance brakes

BMW M models and M Sport versions with larger brakes use higher-specification pads. Optional ceramic brakes on the M5 and M8 Competition require a specific bedding-in process and pads incompatible with conventional brakes. The iDrive system on modern BMWs also shows brake status as a percentage — a reading we take and document at every service. More information on our brake service page.

Full-access diagnostics

Our equipment accesses the DME (Digital Motor Electronics), ZF automatic gearbox or dual-clutch DCT, DSC brake module, EDC suspension, M active differential (on M models), EPAS electric steering, and all comfort and body modules. Complete diagnostics allows us to find the root of the problem, not just turn off the fault indicator.

Frequently asked questions — BMW in Cancún

What oil does my BMW need?

It depends on the engine. N20, N55 and B58 gasoline engines without DPF need LL-01 (typically 0W-30 or 5W-30). B48 and B58 with DPF in European versions need LL-04 (5W-30 low SAPS). N47 and B47 diesels may need LL-04 or a specific diesel specification. Tell us your model and year and we'll confirm the exact specification.

How often does a BMW need service?

The CBS calculates the interval based on actual use. Under normal Cancún conditions — urban traffic with high temperatures — the oil typically indicates a change between 12,000 and 15,000 km. Respecting the CBS indicator is important because the system considers the actual degradation of the oil, not just time elapsed.

Can you reset the CBS after the service?

Yes. With our equipment we individually reset each CBS counter: oil, front and rear brakes, brake fluid and spark plugs as applicable to the service performed. Your dashboard will be clear and the system will recalculate the next interval from scratch.

Do you work on BMWs with an active factory warranty?

Yes. BMW's warranty cannot be conditioned on exclusive dealership service under Mexican law. We document each service with an invoice and use OEM-equivalent specification consumables so the maintenance is fully backed up.
