Audi specialists in Cancún

Audi shares platforms and technologies with the Volkswagen Group, but its service specifications are unique and not interchangeable with those of Volkswagen or Skoda. An Audi A4 with EA888 gen 3 engine requires VW 504.00/507.00 oil and a change interval of up to 15,000 km; an error in the specification can cause problems in the particulate filter or deposits in the dual-camshaft oil pump timing chain.

At Ágil Mecánica we service the full Audi family: the compact A1 and A3, the A4 Avant sedans and estates, the A5 coupé and Sportback, the executive A6 and A7 Sportback, the flagship A8, the Q3, Q5, Q7 and Q8 SUVs, the TT sports car and the R8 supercar. We also work with the electric and hybrid models from the e-tron line: the e-tron 55, e-tron GT and Q4 e-tron.

Specialized services for Audi

Maintenance to VW Group specification

Oil for an Audi is not just a matter of viscosity: VW 504.00/507.00 specifications for gasoline and 506.01/507.00 for diesel ensure compatibility with the EGR recirculation system, the DPF particulate filter and the dual-camshaft oil pump timing chain (critical oil pressure in the EA888 engine). Audi maintenance service also includes a check of the DSG gearbox oil — a special fluid with its own change interval that is often overlooked by workshops unfamiliar with the brand.

DSG & Tiptronic transmission

The S-tronic dual-clutch transmission (7-speed DSG for DQ200 front-wheel drive and DQ500 quattro) is one of the most delicate points in Audi maintenance. The DSG fluid should be changed every 60,000 km and the wet clutch requires an adaptation reset using software so the gearbox relearns the contact points after service. Without this step, many owners notice shuddering or jerking in a "freshly serviced" gearbox.

Adaptive suspension & quattro

Audi models with Adaptive Air Suspension (available on Q7, Q8 and A8) share logic with Mercedes's AIRMATIC system but with different control modules. The quattro all-wheel drive system in its ultra, torsen and electric variants also requires inspection of the central differential and active rear differential on S and RS models. More details on our suspension repair page.

Full diagnostics

Our equipment accesses the Engine (ECM), transmission (TCM), ABS/ESC, airbag module (ACM), electric steering (EPS), Gateway (central communication module), climate control and all comfort modules. Our specialized OBD diagnostics lets us see data that a generic scanner cannot read on an Audi.

Frequently asked questions — Audi in Cancún

What oil does my Audi use?

The most common gasoline TFSI engines in Mexico (EA888 gen 3) need VW 504.00/507.00, normally in 5W-30 or 0W-30 viscosity. TDI diesel engines need VW 507.00, also 5W-30. More recent models with the MLB evo platform may have different specifications. Tell us your exact model and year and we'll confirm.

How often does an Audi need service in Cancún?

With 504.00/507.00 oil the interval is 15,000 km or 1 year. In Cancún's heat we recommend not exceeding 12 months regardless of mileage, as oil degrades faster at constant high operating temperatures.

Can you service the electric Audi e-tron?

Yes. The electric e-tron models have their own service protocols: battery pack coolant inspection, regenerative braking system inspection, battery management module software updates, and conventional suspension, tire and brake services. We do not perform high-voltage battery pack repairs, which require HV-certified facilities.

Do you work on Audi RS and S models?

Yes. The performance S3, S4, S5, S6, RS3, RS5, RS6, RS7 and R8 models have more powerful engines — in some cases twin-turbo — requiring additional inspections: intercooler, turbocharger, active rear differential on torque-vectoring quattro models. We have experience with these vehicles and service them with the same level of detail as standard models.
