The entire JLR family under one roof — from the most capable Defender to the most luxurious Range Rover. Air suspension, Terrain Response and complete electronic diagnostics.
Book Your AppointmentLand Rover and Range Rover are part of the same Jaguar Land Rover group and share platforms, Ingenium engines and electronic architecture. What sets them apart is focus: Land Rovers (Defender, Discovery, Discovery Sport, Freelander) prioritize off-road capability, while Range Rovers (Range Rover, Sport, Velar, Evoque) combine that capability with maximum luxury. At Ágil Mecánica we service both families with the same level of specialization.
We service the full range: the iconic Defender 90 and 110; the seven-seat Discovery 5; the Discovery Sport; Freelander 2, LR3 and LR4; the full-size Range Rover; the Range Rover Sport including the P400e plug-in hybrid; the Range Rover Velar; and the Range Rover Evoque.
Defender 90/110 and Discovery 5/Sport. Ingenium engine, electronically controlled transfer case, Terrain Response 2, optional air suspension and full JLR diagnostics.
The flagship models. Dual-chamber air suspension, active differential, Ingenium 3.0 engines and P400e plug-in hybrid. Complete diagnostics across all modules.
The most urban and entry-level models. Ingenium engine maintenance, ZF 8/9-speed transmission service and intelligent AWD system inspection.
Dual-chamber air suspension is standard on Range Rover and optional on the Defender and Discovery. In Cancún's climate, heat and humidity accelerate aging of air bags, the compressor and shutoff valves. When the system fails the vehicle may drop to its minimum position as an emergency measure. We diagnose the exact failing component before quoting any repair. More on our suspension repair page.
The entire JLR range uses electronically controlled two-speed transfer cases. Transfer case, front and rear differential, and PTU (Power Transfer Unit) fluid all require periodic changes between 60,000 and 80,000 km — a service many owners are unaware of that prevents premature gear wear. We perform this service with the correct fluids for each model. More on our car maintenance page.
Land Rover and Range Rover share the same electronic architecture: dozens of modules interconnected by CAN network and MOST multimedia system. Our equipment accesses the transfer module, electronic differential, Terrain Response, HDC hill descent control, DCAS suspension system and all comfort and safety systems for complete diagnostics of any fault.
Ingenium 4 and 6-cylinder engines use 0W-20 or 5W-30 oil depending on the version. In Cancún, with ambient temperatures of 35°C or more, we recommend not exceeding 10,000 km between oil changes even though the official interval is 16,000 km. Extreme heat degrades turbocharged engine oil faster than standard monitoring systems calculate.
It's a slow leak in the air suspension system — typically in an air bag, a valve or an air line. The compressor raises it on startup but it loses pressure overnight. We diagnose the exact failing component before quoting the repair.
JLR recommends service every 16,000 km or 12 months. In Cancún we recommend oil changes at 10,000 km due to heat affecting turbocharged Ingenium engines. Service also includes filters, brakes, suspension and electronic systems inspection.
Yes. We perform fluid changes for the transfer case, front and rear differentials and the PTU with the correct fluids for each model. This service is important between 60,000 and 80,000 km.
Yes. The warranty cannot be conditioned on exclusive dealership service under Mexican law. We document every service with an invoice and use Land Rover specification consumables so maintenance is fully backed up.
