The Jetta and the full VW range deserve a workshop that knows TSI engines, the DSG transmission and VAG protocol diagnostics inside out.
Book Your AppointmentVolkswagen is one of Mexico's best-selling brands and the Jetta has been the country's top-selling sedan for years. Its TSI (Turbocharged Stratified Injection) engines of 1.4 and 1.5 liters offer a combination of efficiency and performance that depends on correct oil and respected maintenance intervals. The DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) dual-clutch transmission is one of the most refined systems on the mass market but requires its specific fluid and periodic service.
At Ágil Mecánica we service the full Volkswagen range available in Mexico: the Jetta in all generations (A4, A6 and A7); the Tiguan SUV in 4x2 and 4Motion versions; the Golf; the Passat; the Touareg; and the electric ID.4. We also service the Amarok pickup and commercial models.
VW classics. TSI 1.4T and 1.5T engine with 5W-40 oil meeting VW 504.00/507.00 specification. DSG transmission service with G 052 182 fluid and VAG protocol diagnostics.
VW's family SUVs. 4Motion system maintenance with 5th-generation Haldex, 7-speed DSG transmission service and complete traction system diagnostics.
VW's first mass-market electric vehicle in Mexico. Battery management system (BMS) diagnostics, electric motor inspection and regenerative brake system service. High-voltage safety protocol.
Volkswagen TSI engines have very specific oil specifications that go beyond viscosity. The EA211 1.4 TSI engine in the Jetta A7 requires oil meeting VW 504.00 (longlife) or VW 502.00 — typically 5W-30 or 5W-40. The EA211 evo 1.5 TSI with Miller cycle requires VW 508.00 (0W-20) to optimize cycle efficiency. Using oil without the correct VW approval can damage the GPF gasoline particulate filter present in Euro 6 engines.
The VW DSG dual-clutch transmission — whether the 6-speed wet DSG (DQ250) for higher-torque engines or the more common 7-speed dry DSG (DQ200) in the Jetta — requires a fluid and filter change between 60,000 and 80,000 km. Many owners are unaware of this service, resulting in start-up vibrations, harsh shifts and, in extreme cases, mechatronic damage. We perform this service with G 052 182 fluid for the wet DSG or the correct fluid for the dry DSG. More on our car maintenance page.
The VAG group (Volkswagen Audi Group) uses its own diagnostic protocol that allows complete access to all vehicle modules: engine, DSG transmission, ABS/ESC, EPS electric steering, EPB electronic parking brake, airbag module and all comfort systems. Our equipment performs complete diagnostics with equivalent access to the VAG protocol.
VW recommends the first service at 10,000 km and then every 10,000 km. In Cancún's heat, we recommend respecting this interval. Service A includes an oil change; Service B adds filters, brake and suspension inspection and DSG service if applicable.
A slight shudder when releasing the brake in slow traffic is characteristic of the dry-clutch DSG (DQ200), especially in the Jetta with the 1.4T engine. However, if the shudder is pronounced or accompanied by jerking, it's a sign that the DSG fluid is depleted or the mechatronic has a fault. We diagnose the exact cause before recommending any repair.
Yes. We perform the complete fluid and filter change for the DSG transmission — both the 6-speed wet (DQ250) and the 7-speed dry (DQ200) — with the correct fluids and the electronic adaptation procedure so the gearbox is correctly calibrated after the service.
