Porsche in Cancún: service worthy of the brand

Porsche is synonymous with performance, precision and longevity when properly maintained. In Cancún, the combination of extreme heat, coastal humidity and urban traffic imposes demanding operating conditions on the cooling, lubrication and transmission systems of any Porsche. At Ágil Mecánica we service the full Porsche range with the technical knowledge and diagnostic tools each model requires.

All Porsche models, one workshop

Porsche 911

The Stuttgart icon in its Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa 4, Targa 4S, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS and GT3 Touring versions. The water-cooled flat-six engine of the 991, 992 and 996/997 generations has its own particularities: the oil interval on the 911 GT3 with MA175 engine is 10,000 km with Porsche Approved A40 oil, while the 911 Turbo S also requires C30 specification. We handle general mechanics, brakes, AC and diagnostics for the full 911 family.

Porsche 718: Boxster and Cayman

The four-cylinder turbocharged roadsters and coupés: 718 Boxster, 718 Boxster S, 718 Boxster GTS 4.0, 718 Boxster Spyder, 718 Cayman, 718 Cayman S, 718 Cayman GTS 4.0, 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Cayman GT4 RS. The 2.0 T and 2.5 T four-cylinder engine requires Porsche Approved C30 oil in 0W-40 viscosity. The GT4 and GT4 RS with the naturally aspirated 4.0 engine inherited from the GT3 use the same A40 specification as the 911. We perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs for the full 718 line.

Porsche Cayenne

The SUV that saved Porsche and one of the most frequent models in our Cancún workshop. The Cayenne in its base, Cayenne S, Cayenne GTS, Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne Turbo GT and Cayenne E-Hybrid versions shares the MLB evo platform with Audi/Volkswagen but has its own control modules. The PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) pneumatic suspension is especially sensitive to the coastal environment; the Cayenne's suspension compressor and air bags are components we inspect regularly. The Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive system also requires rear active differential inspection on high-performance versions.

Porsche Macan

The compact SUV with a sporting soul, available as the Macan, Macan S, Macan GTS, Macan Turbo and the new fully electric Macan (on the PPE platform). The Macan with twin-turbo V6 engine requires oil with Porsche Approved C30 specification. The Macan S with EA837 engine shares architecture with the Audi SQ5 but with different engine calibration. We handle maintenance, diagnostics, brakes and suspension for the full Macan line, including the electric Macan for services not related to the high-voltage system.

Porsche Panamera

The four-door sports car in its Panamera, Panamera 4S, Panamera GTS, Panamera Turbo, Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and Panamera Sport Turismo variants. The Panamera's PDK dual-clutch transmission requires a PDK fluid change every 60,000 km — a service many workshops skip because they lack the software to force the clutch open and drain the fluid correctly. We also service the Panamera's PDCC (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control) pneumatic suspension system and the active SPORT exhaust system.

Porsche Taycan

Porsche's electric car, available as the Taycan, Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo, Taycan Turbo S, Taycan Cross Turismo and Taycan Sport Turismo. Services we perform on the Taycan include inverter coolant fluid replacement, brake inspection and replacement (with the regenerative system requiring a special bleed procedure), PASM suspension inspection, and the high-efficiency AC system. We do not perform high-voltage battery pack repairs, which require HV-certified facilities.

Frequently asked questions — Porsche in Cancún

What oil does my Porsche need?

It depends on the engine: the 911 GT3 and 718 GT4 with the naturally aspirated 4.0 engine need Porsche Approved A40 (typically synthetic 0W-40). The turbocharged engines in the 911 Carrera, Turbo, 718 turbo, Cayenne, Macan and Panamera need C30 (0W-40 or 5W-40). V8 biturbo engines in some Cayenne Turbo and Panamera Turbo models may need B71. Contact us with your exact model and we'll confirm.

How often does a Porsche need service?

The Porsche Service indicator divides maintenance into Service A (oil, filters and visual inspection) and Service B (oil, filters, brakes, spark plugs and full inspection). Generally Service A every 10,000–12,000 km and B every 20,000–24,000 km, although the vehicle's indicator is the best reference based on actual use.

Can the PASM suspension on my Cayenne or Panamera be repaired in Cancún?

Yes. We diagnose pressure leaks, weak compressors and faulty distribution valves in the PASM system. We also service the Panamera's PDCC system. If the vehicle is in emergency mode with a fixed ride height, bring it in — in most cases the problem has a solution without needing to import the complete assembly.

Can you change the brake pads on a Porsche with PCCB (ceramic brakes)?

Yes, with a special procedure. Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brake (PCCB) brakes require specific pads that are incompatible with conventional discs. The replacement includes inspection of the ceramic disc condition (checked for micro-cracks) and exact torque on the titanium caliper bolts. It's a service we perform with the care the system deserves.

Can you service a Porsche 911 GT3 RS in Cancún?

Yes. The GT3 RS is one of the most demanding cars in the range and requires special attention to the dry-sump lubrication system, MA175 flat-six engine oil change and inspection of the active aerodynamic elements. We service it with the respect and precision the vehicle demands. Book via WhatsApp to coordinate the details.
